How To Find Us

Macclesfield is situated in East Cheshire on the Western fringes of the Peak District National Park. The Heritage Centre is situated in the centre of Macclesfield. The Silk Museum, Paradise Mill and West Park Museum are situated within easy walking distance of the Heritage Centre.

By Road

Cheshire has good links to the motorway network and all parts of Britain.

Heritage Centre / Silk Heritage Museum

When you reach Macclesfield town centre, follow the brown and white tourist signs marked Heritage Centre. Roe Street is off Churchill Way. There is ample parking in the adjacent public car parks. See the street map below.

The Silk Industry Museum and Paradise Mill

The Silk Industry Museum and Paradise Mill are a few minutes' walk from the Heritage Centre on (old) Park Lane. Follow the brown and white tourist signs marked 'Paradise Mill'. There is ample parking close by in Park Green. See the street map below.

West Park Museum

West Park Museum is approximately ten minutes' walk from The Heritage Centre. Alternatively, there is parking some five minutes' walk away at the Whalley Hayes car park. See the street map below.

By Rail

Macclesfield station is a few minutes' walk from the Heritage Cetre. Turn left out of the station onto Sunderland Street then right into Pickford Street. Continue straight up the hill until you reach the junction with Mill Street. Cross Mill Street and onto Roe Street where you will find The Heritage Centre on your right. See the street map below.
